It's no secret that I love hip-hop.  And B.I.G. is one of my favorite rappers of all time.  Nobody did it like Biggie.  The lyrics.  The swagger.  He made being a big dude cool.  Love Biggie Smalls.  R.I.P.

"Juicy" was Biggie's first big hit.  And there is a good reason for that.  People love to hear an inspiring story and Big had one.  This song tells of his dream to be a rap star and working hard to make it come true.  The epitome of the American dream.  Biggie's story, although becoming tragic in the end, is still proof that we can all go "from negative to positive."

When you are struggling and not sure if your dreams are going to come true, just turn on "Juicy" and believe again!

I finally watched the movie Trolls last night.  What a great movie!  And the message in that movie is spot on.  We all deserve to be happy and we all have the power to be happy within us.  And sometimes we just need the right song to help bring it out!

This song always brings the happy out of me.  Especially after seeing the movie.  So if you haven't seen Trolls yet, do yourself a favor and watch it soon.  Then, put Justin on repeat, get up and be happy!

Some of my favorite songs are instrumentals.  A song does not need words to move us.  And today's Song That Helps is a great example of that!

I am a product of the 90's.  All my favorite music (ok, most of it) happened in the early 90's.  That was my coming up era and I still turn to some of those forgotten songs of that era to lift me up.
